Is the performance free to watch?

All performances held during the Chunhyang Festival are free for all visitors to watch. 

Will the performances be held if it rains?

In case of cancellation or changes due to rain, the official website will provide updates. We recommend checking the notices on the website for weather-related announcements before visiting.

Can I bring a wheelchair?

Wheelchairs are allowed for entry, and if you need one, you can rent it at the General Situation Room or Gwanghanru Garden. 

Can I bring a stroller?

We do not recommend bringing a stroller during the weekends, as a large number of visitors are expected. However, we suggest bringing a stroller and visiting during weekdays when the walkways are relatively less crowded. Strollers are available for rent at Gwanghanru Garden if needed. 

Can I enjoy the festival with my pet?

Pets are allowed to enjoy all performances as long as they are on a leash and wearing a muzzle. However, access to Gwanghanru Garden is restricted. 

What programs are available for children to enjoy?

Various programs are available for children to enjoy, including the Color Playground, Stamp Tour, Traditional Game Experience, Chunhyang Love Essay Contest, and the Youth Talent Contest, among others. 

What are the operating hours of the festival?

The official operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. For detailed information, please refer to the schedule on the official website.

What is the Chunhyang Festival?

The Chunhyang Festival is a festival held in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. Every year in May, the festival is held on the day when Chunhyang and Lee Mongryong first met. The Chunhyang Festival, which began in 1931 with a ritual on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, has a long history of 94 years. It is the oldest performance art and citizen-participation type festival in South Korea and the pioneer of regional festivals.
